Product Details

The Bixpy Simple Gudgeon is needed to mount our Universal Versa Rudder™ Adapter to most kayaks with pre-tapped mounting holes with screw inserts found on the stern of the kayak (such as Wilderness System, Necky, Ocean Kayak, Emotion, and more).

If your kayak does not have holes and inserts pre-drilled into it, you can also use nuts and bolts to install this gudgeon onto your kayak, but it is then recommended that you have access to the inside of your kayak through a hatch for sit-on kayaks.

Can I use other batteries with my Bixpy motor?

Our K-Power Control Module allows you to use virtually any 24V battery to power Bixpy J-2 and K-1 Motors. For best results, we recommend marine-grade LiFePO4 batteries.

Can I use my Bixpy in saltwater?

Absolutely! Our K-1 Motor and Outboard Batteries are constructed of hard-anodized aluminum and marine grade plastics with exclusively stainless steel hardware. This makes them an excellent choice for either saltwater or fresh water.
