What this is: This Plan is a service contract that provides additional protections beyond the limited manufacturer’s warranty. It is not insurance.
1. Covered Product & Term
- Covered product: A new, genuine Bixpy product purchased from bixpy.com or an authorized Bixpy dealer, identified on your receipt and linked to its serial number.
- Defect coverage: Electronics and battery core coverage begins the day after the manufacturer’s 1-year warranty ends and runs for one (1) additional year.
- Accidental/physical damage and catastrophic loss benefits: These benefits begin on the delivery date and end when this ESP term ends.
2. What’s Included
A. Defect / Failure Coverage
If the covered product’s electronic components or battery core fail under normal use during the ESP term, Bixpy will repair or replace failed parts at no charge. This benefit includes 100% parts and labor for covered defects.
B. Accidental / Physical Damage
If the battery sustains physical damage not normally covered by warranty, including entanglement with fishing line or grasses, impact, or non-warranty water ingress, Bixpy will perform the repair at a 50% discount off standard repair pricing. Repair availability and estimates are provided after diagnostics.
C. Catastrophic Damage or Loss
If your battery is catastrophically damaged or lost during the ESP term, you are eligible for one (1) replacement of the same or comparable model at 50% off the then-current retail price, plus applicable taxes and shipping.
This benefit is limited to one discounted replacement per ESP. Replacement may be new or refurbished and of equal or greater functionality, although the model may differ. Bixpy may require reasonable incident documentation, such as an incident affidavit and/or a police report for theft or loss.
D. Priority Support & Diagnostics
The Plan includes priority access to support and no-charge diagnostics any time the covered item is sent to Bixpy for evaluation during the ESP term.
3. What’s Not Covered
- Normal cosmetic wear, including scratches, dents, or discoloration, that does not affect function.
- Normal battery capacity loss or degradation from aging or charge/discharge cycles.
- Consumables and accessories not part of the product’s assembly.
- Damage from misuse, abuse, improper installation, unauthorized modifications or repairs, or use contrary to published instructions.
- Environmental or force-majeure events, including fire, flooding, or earthquake, except as covered by the single 50% replacement benefit above.
- Any loss or damage occurring before ESP purchase or outside the ESP term.
- Commercial or rental use unless expressly allowed on your receipt.
4. How to Obtain Service
- Open a ticket. Open a support ticket at bixpy.com under Support → “Open A Support Ticket,” or contact info@bixpy.com. Have your order number, serial number, description, and photos ready.
- Diagnostic & RMA. Bixpy will guide you through troubleshooting. If needed, Bixpy will issue an RMA and shipping instructions.
- Shipping. Unless otherwise stated, you are responsible for inbound shipping to Bixpy. Bixpy covers standard return shipping within the Continental U.S. after service.
- Repair or replacement. Covered defect service has no charge for parts or labor. Accidental damage service requires payment of 50% of the quoted repair cost. Catastrophic damage or loss requires payment of 50% of the current retail price for a single replacement.
- Turnaround. Bixpy will begin repairs within a reasonable time and endeavor to complete repairs promptly after receiving your unit and approval of any estimates.
5. Purchase Window
This ESP is available at checkout with a new Bixpy motor, battery, or kit, or within 30 days of covered product purchase. You must provide order and serial numbers so Bixpy can attach the ESP to the covered product.
- Product condition at purchase: If the ESP is not purchased at checkout, you must confirm the product is fully functional and not in need of service.
6. Cancellation & Refunds
- Free-look: You may cancel within 30 days after receiving the contract for a full refund if no claims have been made.
- After the free-look: You may cancel any time for a pro-rata refund based on elapsed time or another objective measure, less an administrative fee capped at the lesser of $25 or 10% of the ESP price, and less the value of any service or benefits already provided.
- How to cancel: Email info@bixpy.com or call 1-866-249-7910 with your order and serial number. You may also mail a signed request to the address listed above. Cancellation is effective upon Bixpy’s receipt of your request.
7. Limits of Liability & Maximum Benefits
- The total of all benefits under this ESP will not exceed the original purchase price of the covered product.
- The catastrophic/loss benefit is limited to one (1) discounted replacement per ESP.
- This ESP does not cover indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use, time, travel, or data, to the extent permitted by law.
8. Transferability
This ESP is non-renewable and non-transferable, except to a Bixpy-provided replacement of the same unit.
9. Miscellaneous
- No recurring charges: This ESP is a one-time purchase for a fixed term.
- Entire agreement: This Plan is the entire agreement relating to the services it provides. Any changes must be in writing by Bixpy.
- Concurrency with manufacturer warranty: This ESP applies only to items or time periods not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, except where it provides relief not available under that warranty, such as discounted replacement.
- Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
- No waiver: A failure to enforce any term is not a waiver of that term.
