It depends on the size and type of your boat. For small inflatable boats and other lightweight craft with a transom, the compact K-1 Motor is an excellent choice. For larger boats such as jon boats, dinghies, tenders, and larger inflatables, we recommend the more powerful N-3 Outboard Motor.

The K-1 Motor delivers up to 38 lb of thrust depending on the Power Pack, making it ideal for smaller, lightweight boats. The N-3 delivers 3 HP equivalent power for larger small boats that need more propulsion.

If your small boat has a compatible transom, mounting a Bixpy motor is simple. The K-1 can be installed using the Bixpy Transom Adapter, while the N-3 is designed as a traditional outboard-style system that mounts directly to a compatible transom.
