ISLE kayaks, including the Flywater and Megalodon, have become popular with paddlers who want a stable, versatile kayak that’s easy to use and transport. Both models are designed to perform well on lakes, rivers, and calm coastal waters, making them suitable for fishing, exploring, or relaxed paddling.
These kayaks offer roomy decks, stable hulls, and smooth tracking, which helps keep them comfortable even on longer outings. They’re also lightweight for their size and easy to load into a vehicle, so you don’t need trailers or heavy lifting to get on the water. For paddlers looking for a flexible and approachable kayak, the Flywater and Megalodon check a lot of boxes.

-
Easy to transport thanks to manageable size and weight
-
Reliable performance on lakes, rivers, and protected coastal waters
These features make ISLE kayaks a solid choice for paddlers who want a dependable boat that’s simple to use and enjoyable in a wide range of conditions.
Adding Electric Power with Bixpy

Adding a Bixpy motor to an ISLE kayak can make time on the water more relaxed and efficient. A motor helps reduce fatigue, makes it easier to deal with wind or current, and allows you to cover more distance with less effort.
Bixpy offers adapter options designed to work specifically with ISLE kayaks, so installation is straightforward and secure. The result is quiet, electric propulsion that doesn’t require permanent changes to your boat.
This guide covers how to motorize both the ISLE Megalodon and ISLE Flywater using Bixpy motor systems.

Motor and Steering Options for ISLE Flywater and Megalodon
Both the ISLE Flywater and ISLE Megalodon come with a factory-installed mounting plate, which makes motor installation much easier.
If you are using the Bixpy K-1 Motor, you only need the Bixpy Power Pole Adapter. The built-in ISLE mounting plate is already compatible, so no additional mounting hardware is required. Once installed, the motor is controlled using Bixpy Pole Steering, which is needed for steering with the Power Pole setup.

If you are using the Bixpy N-3 Motor, the setup is slightly different. In this case, you will need ISLE’s motor mounting plate along with the Bixpy Power Pole-to-Transom Conversion Plate. This allows the N-3 motor to mount securely at the stern. Steering with the N-3 is done using a tiller handle, and Bixpy also offers a tiller extension to make steering more comfortable from your seat.
These options give you flexibility to choose the motor and steering style that best fits how you plan to use your ISLE kayak, while keeping installation clean and straightforward.
